Kona C. Smith, 77, of Aiea, a retired Hawaiiana teacher at Waianae High School and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Kapaa, Kauai. He is survived by hanai daughters Pili and Precious, brother Arthur H. Jr. and sister Noella Sherwood. Services and scattering of ashes: 10 a.m. Saturday at Pokai Bay at the heiau. Celebration of life to follow. Casual attire.
